Who we are
OSTECH IT ENGINEERING LIMITED was founded by members who were previously part of the team that worked to digitize the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania's health facilities from 2006 to 2011. When the ELCT's project ended, some members decided to take the project further to serve wider community. Ostech was officially registered in 2013 under the Company's Ordinance, Cap 212 repealed by the company's Act No 12 of 2002.

Our system has wholistic factionalities as it has a front office which is the hospital system Care MD and ERP back office dealing with accouts and stock management. It is intergrated to investigative and diagnostic devices in the laboratory and radiology, and with the payment systems and NHIF. Our clients can simply do online claim submissions.

What we've done
Online Claim submissions:
Our CareMD system is now enhanced to perform the online form submissions to the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) system, making the process easier, faster and 100% paper free.
Integrating the System to the bank
Payment is one of the tedious processes in the hospitals that results into the long queues and as a results slows the speed of services.
With Our careMD, now clients (patients) can pay directly to the bank (CRDB Bank) through independent agents instead of hospital personnels handling the process. This saves time, eliminating queues in the payments windows as the payments will be directly reflected in the system
Integrating the Investigation devices to the System
Our CareMD system is 100% paper free. Now the investigation devices in the laboratories and the radiology department such as
- Ultrasound.
- X-Rays.
- CT Scan.
All are now linked to our CareMD and the results are immediately reflected in the system and made available in real time to the clinical personnel for examinations.
Bulk SMS
What a better way to keep in touch with your patients and staff than communicating with them directly through SMS? CareMD care now send customized messages to patients (registered into the system). You can send the SMS to all registered patients or specific groups of patients about the new services or any information regarding the services offered at the hospital or even simply wishing them Happy Festive season (Christmas and New Year) or whatever message the management wants to communicate with the patients.
This service can also be extended to be used to communicate with the staff and as the internal memo.
Pay For Performance P4P
Care MD enables the management to appraise the performances of the staff especially the clinical personnel and hence reward for their performances as the tool for motivation.
Through P4P, one can determine the number of patients attended by the clinical staff and the revenues each has made for the hospital.
Auditor's corner
Our System has an automated audit function that aids with the identification of unfinished or incomplete patients treatments. This enables the management to determine in real time the lost revenues when the patients opt not to proceed with the prescribed service for any reason.
For example, some patients after consulting the doctor and instructed to the laboratory or radiology, may opt not to proceed and leave or go to other facilities due to long queues or the feeling of not receiving the good services. Auditor's corner monitors such situation, evaluate the losses made and prompt for immediate action to rectify the situation.
